Bodies in Space

Three Movements

January 13,14,&15th

8pm @ Left Edge Theatre

Join us for a showing of Three Short Plays created by Performance Duo - Bodies In Space CLAIRE MCCAFFREY & LULU THOMPSXN

Bodies in space is an experiment in practice and performance. We commit to deepening our relationship with the basic elements of theater: two bodies co-working, co-playing, holding space, shaping space with engaged and rooted storytelling. We commit to thinking queerly- questioning our narratives and ways of telling. We invite folx into the space to listen, to question their listening and our telling. Come, curiously dig in the darkness with us.

Begin In the Middle

(a never ending story)

2018

Written, directed & performed by Bodies in Space

Inspired by the Neverending Story and the sensations of complete and utter failure as an artist.

Of Time & Darkness

(our sexiest play yet)

2019

Written by Lulu

Choreographed by Claire

Directed & Performed by Bodies In Space

Be prepared to ask a question. Two aliens, equally strange, cross an endless iceberg. The most treacherous part is their journey to understand each others’ identities. Adapted from The Left Hand of Darkness by Ursula K. Le Guin. Thanks to Tony Kushner & Willy Shakes.

An Oral Wondertale

2019

Written by Claire

Choreographed by Lulu

Directed & Performed by Bodies in Space

Costumes by Witching Hours

Once upon a time, one thousand queer fairy tales tangled up like threads in a strange scarf. Oracles and nightmares haunt the ingenue living in the forest. Scarcity and abundance. Nature and romance. Written and oral.  Can she weave all the threads together?
