Left Edge Theatre Celebrates 10 Years of Bold Storytelling with Groundbreaking 2025–26 Season

Left Edge Theatre proudly announces its 10th Anniversary Season, a bold, thought-provoking lineup of plays that celebrate a decade of daring theater in Sonoma County. With a blend of boundary-pushing new works, inventive reimaginings, and cult-classic musicals, Left Edge continues to challenge audiences and champion voices that need to be heard.

2025–26 Season Lineup

July 19–20, 2025

Hindsight 2025: International New Play Festival

Directed by Jenny Hollingworth

Now in its fifth year, Hindsight returns with the theme of “Tyranny.” Out of over 300 global submissions, a selection of powerful short plays will be brought to life in staged readings, offering audiences an afternoon of urgent, original voices. Winning plays are also published, amplifying these stories beyond the stage.

August 29–September 7, 2025

Gary: A Sequel to Titus Andronicus

Written by Taylor Mac | Directed by Lulu Thompsxn

Part absurdist comedy, part tragic farce, Gary picks up in the bloody aftermath of Shakespeare’s Titus Andronicus. Two servants are tasked with cleaning up the corpses, literally, and what follows is a wildly funny, sobering meditation on survival, servitude, and the cost of history.

November 14–23, 2025

Avenue Q

Book by Jeff Whitty | Music & Lyrics by Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx

Directed & Choreographed by Serena Elize Flores

This Tony-winning musical comedy blends puppets, people, and pure irreverence. Equal parts heart and hilarity, Avenue Q tackles adult themes with childish glee, reminding us that growing up isn’t just hard—it’s downright hilarious.

December 18–21, 2025

Fully Committed

Written by Becky Mode | Director TBA

Sam works the red-hot reservation line at one of New York City’s most exclusive restaurants—and everyone wants a table. This fast-paced one-person comedy features a whirlwind of 40 characters, all portrayed by a single actor, as they beg, bribe, and bluff their way into the dining room. A hilarious behind-the-scenes look at the chaos of fine dining and customer entitlement.

February 13–March 1, 2026

We Are Proud to Present a Presentation About the Herero of Namibia…

Written by Jackie Sibblies Drury | Directed by Skylar Evans

A powerful, meta-theatrical examination of race, history, and storytelling. Six actors attempt to portray the genocide of the Herero people by German colonizers, but what begins as rehearsal quickly descends into a confrontation of privilege, perspective, and the uncomfortable truths of performance itself.

May 22–31, 2026

TBA Production

Left Edge will close its milestone season with a yet-to-be-announced production that promises to provoke, entertain, and challenge, hallmarks of the theatre’s decade-long legacy.
